One cleared calendar is the goal. Participants who keep fundraising after day 31 can move above 100% and create additional upside for the entire program.

The Clear the Calendar sell-through model

One calendar is the goal. It doesn't have to be the limit.

Every participant starts with the same clear target: sponsor all 31 days on one calendar. When every day is sponsored, that calendar totals exactly $496.

But a participant who clears the first calendar can keep fundraising. Additional sponsored days count toward the program's overall sell-through and give strong fundraisers an opportunity to help the entire program raise more.

At the program level, the same denominator is used across all participants: total sponsored days ÷ (participants × 31). That means participants who go beyond one calendar can help offset participants who finish below 100%.

Why this matters

Your strongest fundraisers don't have to stop.

Traditional goals often treat every participant as if they will finish at the same level. Clear the Calendar gives the program another lever: participants with momentum can continue into another calendar instead of being capped after their first 31 sponsored days.

31 days = the baseline

One completely sponsored calendar is the individual goal and equals 100% sell-through.

Below 100% can happen

Not every participant will clear all 31 days. Program performance reflects the whole group.

Above 100% creates upside

Participants who keep fundraising can drive incremental sponsored days beyond the original program baseline.

Understand the $496

Why does a cleared calendar equal $496?

Each numbered day corresponds to its sponsorship amount: day 1 is $1, day 2 is $2, and so on through day 31 at $31.

Calendar fundraiser FAQ

Questions about fundraiser potential

How much is a fully sponsored 31-day calendar fundraiser worth?

A fully sponsored calendar totals $496 because the sponsorship amounts are $1 through $31. Adding 1 + 2 + 3 through 31 equals $496.

What does 100% sell-through mean?

Clear the Calendar uses 31 sponsored days as the sell-through baseline. A participant with 31 sponsored days is at 100% sell-through.

Can a participant go above 100% sell-through?

Yes. Clearing one 31-day calendar is the goal, not the limit. A participant can continue fundraising on another calendar. For example, 39 sponsored days equals about 126% sell-through because 39 divided by 31 is approximately 1.26.

Why can sell-through be higher than 100%?

Some participants may not completely clear one calendar while others may have strong momentum and continue beyond their first 31 sponsored days. Allowing strong fundraisers to keep going gives the entire program an opportunity to raise more.

Are the calculator results guaranteed?

No. The calculator is a planning tool. A fully cleared calendar is exactly $496, but partial-calendar dollar results vary because individual days have different sponsorship amounts from $1 to $31.
